Global MBA programs come in at least three formats. In a traditional format, a Global MBA program may be delivered as an MBA specialization or concentration, with course work in such areas of study as ethics, leadership, and globalization. These programs are targeted to a diverse student audience (including recent undergraduates, senior executives, domestic and international students), and are delivered in both two- or one-year accelerated formats.
Another format for the Global MBA combines mandatory international work experiences and residencies, and in some cases paid fellowships and mentor programs are included.
A third format for the Global MBA incorporates regional partnerships comprising three or more graduate business schools in different world regions. In this format, MBA students undertake academic residencies at each of the partner institution's campuses while earning their MBA degree from their home university.
